NATRAX is one of the state-of-the-art automotive testing and certification center under NATRiP, a flagship project of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Govt of India. Spread across more than 3000 acres of land area, it is located near the NH-3 By-Pass Road (Indore – Mumbai) in the industrial township of Pithampur in Dhar district, Indore.
NATRAX in Indore is Asia's longest high-speed track and the 5th longest speed track in the world. With a length of 11.3 km, it will be used to measure the maximum speed capabilities of high-end cars and other categories of vehicles. It was inaugurated on 29 June 2021 by the Union Minister of heavy industries Prakash Javadekar. It can test up to 250 kmph of neutral speed and up to 375 kmph of maximum speed on curbs with no limit on the straight patch. The track has no longitudinal slope, which helps to improve the accuracy while measuring the performance.
